'I’ve rented my own home since 2003 and have been supported by Diverse Abilities Plus for more than 20 years.

'I love it where I live because there’s plenty of peace and quiet, especially in the mornings. I enjoy doing things for myself around my home where I can and if I need a bit of help I can ask for that from my support team.'

'I really enjoy socialising, going to the pub, my pottery class, visiting friends, sailing, waterskiing and visiting my mum which I usually do twice a week as she is now in her 90s. I also love getting away on exotic foreign holidays and recent holidays have included a Mediterranean cruise and trips to Turkey, Tenerife and Majorca.'

'I’ve got a reasonable size garden which I enjoy spending time in growing flowers. My favourite flowers are probably daffodils as they are pretty easy to grow.'

'I’ve been involved in a drama group and I’m excited about my appearance on TV as an ambassador promoting the reasons why it’s good to have a job working with people like me who need a bit of support to live in their own home.'
