Community groups

We can support you to organise a successful event large or small

Community fundraising is great fun and can be hugely rewarding for you and us.  A great way to raise the profile of your group, raise awareness of the work that we do for adults and children with physical and/or learning disabilities and the opportunities/challenges that they encounter on a daily basis whilst raising much needed funds.

A community fundraising group could be an already established club

Setting up your group

A community fundraising group could be a group of friends, family or colleagues who get together.  Community fundraising groups are easy to set up.

Three easy steps  to setting up community fundraising groups

1

get as many of your friends, family and colleagues to join as possible

2

download our Fundraising Pack which includes all the documentation that you could possibly need for your event.  The pack is full of hints, tips, and great ideas that will ensure that your event is a success

3

get together for your first meeting, plan fundraising activities that can be repeated annually or a few times a year

Organise activities individually or as a group, take turns to organise activities, get together with other groups and organise a big event!!

Community support is vitally important to us; without it we would not be able to continue to provide the unique service that we do. Raising awareness of our charity and the people we support is a fundamental part of our ethos.  We would be more than happy to arrange to visit  your club or group, at your convenience,  so that we can let you know a little bit more about the work that we do.

If you would like further information or to discuss any fundraising activities then please contact  Helen Alexander on 01202 711516 or helen.alexander@diverseabilitiesplus.org.uk

We very much look forward to hearing from you!
